What is Healthy Homes Standards?
The Healthy Homes Guarantee Act is a policy that aims to increase the quality of rental homes in New Zealand. The new regulations introduce specific and minimum standards for insulation, heating, moisture, drainage, ventilation and draught stopping for all rental properties.
What's the worst that can happen?
If the deadlines are not met, fines of up to $4,000 may be incurred if landlords are taken to the Tenancy Tribunal.
